About Our President & CEO - Barry Goldsher

President & CEO - Barry Goldsher

Barry Goldsher became an entrepreneur early in life. At only twenty-two, he started managing the family agricultural business. In 1979, when he was twenty-seven, he founded FarmTek®, a manufacturing and distribution company.

Inc. magazine honored Barry in 1994 by selecting FarmTek as one of the fastest growing companies in the country. Today, FarmTek and its divisions — TekSupply®, ClearSpan™ and Growers Supply are the leading manufacturers of fabric structures and greenhouses. ClearSpan Fabric Structures International, Inc. is a natural outgrowth of this success: a response to increasing requests for more and larger industrial fabric buildings

Motivated by finding solutions for businesses and individuals — providing them with a superior building at a cost lower than they expect.

One of the unique things about Barry is that he has successfully run his own business for his entire adult life. His background is in agricultural buildings and construction. He is an expert in developing economical structures capable of withstanding harsh conditions that provide healthy environments for people and animals.

He is passionate about his work. Barry says that he is "motivated by finding solutions for businesses and individuals — providing them with a superior building at a cost lower than they expect to spend." His energy and enthusiasm for finding customer solutions inspires the ClearSpan team to find their own passion for serving customers.

General Manager Fran O'Kane says "Barry breaks all the rules when it comes to making customers happy. While other manufacturers set up walls between themselves and the customer, Barry ensures that customers have direct access to us."

Accustomed to striving beyond excellence, Barry leads his team of over 300 employees with innovative vision and a philosophy that puts the customer at the very heart of our organization.

Meet Our General Manager - Fran O'Kane

General Manager - Fran O'Kane

Fran O'Kane joins ClearSpan™ Fabric Structures International, Inc. from Allied Tube and Conduit, a division of Tyco. While at Allied, Fran was the eastern regional sales manager. During his ten-year tenure he tripled sales of steel tubing and was honored with the Top Achiever award three times. His number one goal was helping customers increase their business.

Prior to his experience with Allied, Fran was vice-president of sales and marketing for the Briggs Company in New Castle, Delaware. He is a graduate of LaSalle University.

An expert in the fields of steel and industrial fabric structure manufacturing, Fran has worked with many other fabric building manufacturers. He says, "ClearSpan's ability to satisfy customers has no equal. So many companies have lost sight of their customer base. This company makes the customer feel like they are number one. ClearSpan has an advantage over the other manufacturers because we deal directly with customers. Other companies use layers of distribution — non-employees, for their sales force. They do not construct their own buildings. The work is sub-contracted. ClearSpan works one on one with customers at all times, during every part of the building process. This method assures them their building is built with great care and attention to details — we make sure it is the dream they always hoped it would be."
